How serious is the problem of climate change?

For many years there has been a constant talk about the change in the global climate and the rise of greenhouse gases throughout the world. As we are about to enter the third decade of the 21st century, the talks about the climate change have increased at a very rapid rate. Many summits and conferences at the global level have been organised in past 5 years. Many NGOs and NPOs have also taken keen interest in this cause. But the question is how serious is the problem of climate change and to what extent it can affect us?

It has been noted that the current heating trends are of a great significance as most of the heating is a result of the human activities after the mid 19th century i.e. the beginning of the industrial revolution. The earth’s average temperature has rised about 1 degree celsius since then and of which most of the warming occured in last 30-40 years, according to the NASA reports.

There is a misconception that the majority of the heating is caused by the vehicles roaming on the streets but the fact is the heating from the pollution is just about 10-11% of the total pollution. The main cause of heating is the rise of burning of coal and the decrease in the forest cover, together which results in rise in the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. This burning of coal is mainly done in industries and the thermal power plants.

Moreover, the manufacturing of synthetic clothes is also a very huge reason for the rise in the greenhouse temperature as far as the clothing manufacturing is considered. Also, in this technologically advanced era, we cannot expect to live like how the humans lived in medieval or ancient times. But there is a sigh of relief as there are many organisations which are highly dedicated for the environment as well. Patagonia is one such organisation which is considerate about the environment as well. Through Patagonia Black Friday Deals you can explore and find their work.

Remember, how humugous the problem is there is always a solution to it.
